Such distribution must always be made subject to the Forced Heirship provision of the law  which is known as Probate.

A Grant of Probate

An application for a Grant of Probate must be made at the registry of the District Court within the jurisdiction of which the deceased was residing and if the deceased had no such place of residence, the application shall be made to the probate registrar of Nicosia. Once and if the Probate is granted, the Executor will be able to commence with the manage the deceased’s estate.
